Visit from the RNLI

Year 1 boys were treated to an RNLI presentation. The RNLI is a charity that provides a 24-hour lifesaving service around the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The boys enjoyed a very informative talk and learnt lots of interesting facts that include History of the RNLI, History of Lifeboats of the RNLI, Current Lifeboats, Beach Safety, Water Safety and Lifeguards. The boys learned that there are four lifeboat stations on the River Thames in London and were especially interested in video clips about animal rescues. Some boys volunteered to dress up as real lifeguards! The most important rule is the safety code which we all remember, 4 SAFE rules to ensure we have a safe visit to the beach. It was great fun and much enjoyed by all!
