1H and 1C Seaside assembly

On 13th June 1C and 1H entertained us all in their second assembly of the year with a theme of the seaside.

William and Liam took us on a journey down Brighton pier investigating and comparing activities at the seaside from the past and present.

The highlight of the assembly was undoubtedly an impressive display of the boys’ surfing technique whilst dancing to ‘Surfing USA’!

After sharing some important safety advice about the beach and the sea, they performed the poem ‘Footprints on the Beach’ by John Foster.

This was followed by a rendition of ‘I do like to be beside the seaside’ and a performance of the poem ‘Seaside’ by Shirley Hughes, complete with an array of mimed actions.

Well done to all the boys on their brilliant acting, singing, dancing and recitals. I am sure you made your parents very proud.

Miss Hallenga and Mrs Crabtree
