Year 1 Easter Assembly

The Tale of Three Trees

Year 1 were delighted to be asked to lead the Easter Assembly on Tuesday 27th March. The Hall was packed with parents, grandparents and siblings all waiting with eagerness and anticipation. There was an air of excitement in the classrooms as the boys got changed into their costumes. We had been busy rehearsing for 4 weeks and could not wait to show the audience the culmination of our hard work.

The boys absolutely raised the roof with their exuberant singing and clear speech when reciting their lines. They were fabulous at telling the story of the three trees which started as small saplings and grew into mighty Oaks. The trees eventually realise how important they are in the life of Jesus. Full of hope and encouragement, this traditional folktale is perfect for helping to support the children’s understanding of the Christian Easter story.

Thank you to all the parents who came to support the assembly.

Well done to all the Year 1 boys for their fantastic contributions to the presentation, and to the Reception boys, Year 2 boys and our wonderful parents for being such an enthusiastic audience!
