Science Day

On Wednesday 28th January, we were very pleased to welcome to the school, two visitors from the Science Museum.

They came to improve our knowledge of Materials and Light and Dark.  First we began our day with a whole school Assembly and a scientific performance of the Three Little Pigs.  We were reminded about the best materials to build a house with and the boys demonstrated their own knowledge of natural materials.

During the day each Year group visited Orchard Hall for further Science activities.  The Science Museum performed their play called ‘Not So Sleepy Hedgehog’ which gave information about Light and Dark whilst telling the story of the Hedgehog who was too afraid to fall asleep.

The boys learnt about shadows, light sources and of course, not to be afraid of the dark.  The day was informative and lots of fun. All the boys thoroughly enjoyed the performances.
