2ED’s Good Tempered Assembly

On Thursday 5th February, 2ED performed their class assembly based on the book ‘The Bad Tempered Ladybird’ by Eric Carle.

In our PSHE lessons we had been learning about our feelings. We learnt how to recognise the signs of anger and thought of ways to stay calm.

Prior to the assembly the boys had worked really hard to learn their lines and actions to support their storytelling. In Music lessons with Mr Appleby the boys learnt the lyrics, melody and actions to a very jolly song, which helped to remind our audience to ‘Keep on Smiling’.

On the day, the boys looked fantastic in their masks, specially made for them by our very talented Mrs Collins. They spoke their lines perfectly, slowly and clearly so that everyone could hear the story being told.

The boys in 2ED would like to join me in thanking their parents for helping them learn their lines and providing such lovely costumes for them to wear. It was rewarding to see so many parents watching the assembly on the day.
