2JD’s Revolting Assembly

On Thursday 6th February 2JD performed one of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes.

The boys thoroughly en-joyed acting out the rhyming poem, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, especially the disgusting parts!

2JD had to work very hard in rehearsals to learn the many stage directions, movements and actions. They enjoyed working with the props, which included hobby horses, binoculars and fairytale trees!

During the show, the boys performed their lines with great expression and enthusiasm. They really enter-tained the audience and made the children, parents and teachers laugh out loud!

The finale was a song that was especially prepared for the assembly by Mr Appleby. Mr Unsworth is a poem by Roald Dahl about a cruel History teacher who twists the ears right off the boys in his class. Mr Appleby wrote delightful piano music to turn the funny poem into a song. The boys sang it beautifully and made their teachers very proud indeed.
