2ED’s Smokin’ Performance

On Thursday 30th January 2ED performed their class assembly on the theme of The Great Fire of London.

Prior to the assembly the boys had worked really hard to learn their lines and actions to support their storytelling.

On the day the boys looked fantastic in their costumes and spoke brilliantly, informing the rest of the school about the events that took place on Sunday 2nd September 1666.

They wowed their audience with a Fire Dance, accompanied by a full complement of percussionists. They also learnt the lyrics and melody to three jolly songs, which helped to tell the story and further en-hanced their performance.

The boys would like to join me in thanking their parents for helping them learn their lines and providing such wonderful 17th Century clothes for them to wear. It was lovely to see so many parents watching the assembly on the day.
