London Transport Museum
On Monday 17th March, the Reception boys excitedly boarded a double-decker coach ready for our trip to the London Transport Museum.
After our journey, during which the boys had spotted many important London landmarks, we arrived at Covent Garden.
The boys enthusiastically took part in our Build a Bus workshop. During the workshop we discovered what it was like to travel aboard 19th century transport in London (and some of the unpleasant jobs associated with it!).
The boys really enjoyed learning all about horse drawn buses, omnibuses and modern red buses. They also had time to explore the museum and were able to experience sitting on board old and new tube trains and buses.
The trip was a really exciting experience which helped bring our Transport topic to life. We would like to thank all of the parents who were able to support us by coming along to the museum and well done to the Reception boys for their impeccable behaviour and listening throughout the day.
