1D Assembly - The Sensational Senses

This term it has been Year 1’s privilege to host Thursday morning class assemblies. We would like to thank all the parents for their support with learning lines, providing costumes and coming to watch.

1D was lucky enough to be the first class to perform their assembly of the year. We had just started our science topic which was based on animals so we decided we would like to talk about our amazing senses. Our assembly was set in the WCPS Good Morning Breakfast studio where the hosts introduced our mad professor to the rest of the audience. They then took their interview out onto the streets of Wimbledon Village and luckily came across a group of very well behaved WCPS pupils who were able to tell us all about our senses. We included a number of musical instruments, a class song and a poem.

The boys enjoyed learning their large number of lines. I was so impressed with the confidence and enthusiasm which the boys showed whilst working on this assembly.  I would like to congratulate my class and their parents for all the hard work they put in and for making the assembly such an enjoyable one.
