The boys concentrated hard and sang beautifully at our annual Carol service at Sacred Heart Church in Edge Hill on 13th December.
This year was a little different, as it focused on retelling the Christmas Story through words and music alone, rather than with acting and costumes.
The children knew the story well and were clearly engaged in this narrative; the readings were beautifully delivered with one hand-held microphone passed deftly between them.
The singing complemented the reading and the boys did some beautiful songs real credit. Turn Down the Lights and In a Stable reportedly brought tears to a number of eyes in the audience. The boys were in fine form throughout and gave us a singing and reading quality beyond their years. We were very proud of them.
Thank you to Mr Karl Dorman for playing the organ and to Rev. Joan Crossley, our school chaplain, for presiding at the service.
Thank you to all the staff for their support and to parents and families for their attendance and fine congregational singing.
