Harvest Festival

On Thursday 6th October, WCPS celebrated the Harvest Festival with a wonderful assembly led by the Reception classes.

The Reception boys sang Big Red Combine Harvester and It’s Harvest Time with great enthusiasm.  They also performed a special harvest poem, I Plant a Little Seed.  All of the children enjoyed wearing the colourful fruit and vegetable headbands they had made in class and performed their first assembly with impressive confidence and expression.

Orchard Hall was decorated by an impressive display of food collected for local people in need. The Wimbledon Guild has expressed great thanks for the generous donations made by the pupils and parents of all year groups.

We are very grateful to Rev. Crossley for her thought provoking contribution and for concluding the Harvest Festival with a prayer of thanksgiving.
