FoS Autumn 2014

We all thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas fair last week, when the school was transformed into a winter wonderland complete with Santa’s grotto, Christmas trees and market.

The boys had great fun playing laser tag, hook-the-duck, beat-the-goalie, and tossing snowballs. We hope you managed to start your Christmas shopping whilst the boys were entertained!  A huge thank you must go to the committee, class reps, and parents who all put so much effort in making the day so fantastic!

The 2014 Autumn term has been fun and exciting for the Friends of Squirrels committee. We have all enjoyed the events so far - our coffee morning, AGM and Quiz Night and  Christmas Fair.  These events have been great fun to organise and have raised significant funds for the school and our chosen charities. The Quiz night raised £1,636, and our initial figures from the Christmas fair are that we raised an amazing £4,200!

Looking ahead to the Spring term, FoS will be fundraising for further development of the Orchard Garden and additions to the library, and we will also be supporting the Royal Marsden Hospital. There is a new spring event and the summer family fun day to look forward to; do look out for details next term!

Friends of Squirrels depend on the support and generosity of parents to ensure our events and fundraising are successful and we would like to thank all parents who have attended and participated this term for their help. We also rely on the tireless efforts of the committee and class reps to arrange and run the events and in this respect we are always keen to meet any new parent who might wish to become involved with our activities. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you all!
