Trip to Science Museum

On November 6th, Year 1 travelled to London for an action packed day at the Science Museum.

The hands on activities began in the ‘Garden’ where the boys explored construction with large bricks, texture and sounds activities and floating boats through a series of channels in a water system.

After lunch they were entertained with a bubbles science show. The presenter amazed everyone with a display of very light and heavy bubbles, different shaped bubble blowers, a bubble vol-cano and finally a giant sized bubble with a child inside!

The highlight of the day was the Launch Pad with an array of inter-active exhibits including a shadow making machine, some opti-cal illusions, a bridge building challenge, a wind machine and many more including the all time favourite grain processing machine. The day was concluded with a visit to the gift shop, where the boys were very grown up and chose and paid for their own souvenirs with confidence and enthusiasm.

Thank you to all our parent helpers who made a valuable con-tribution to a successful and enjoyable day.
