On Thursday 10th October the newest members of our school the Reception boys took to the stage for the first time to lead our Harvest assembly.
The boys remembered their words and actions to the songs very well and sang about a ‘Big Red Combine Harvester’ cutting and threshing the corn as well as pretending to be ‘Dingle Dangle Scarecrows’.
The three Reception classes also confidently recited a poem about a busy farmer and proudly wore their vegetable inspired headbands they had created earlier in the week. Well done Reception!
Thank you also to Rev Crossley who came to remind us that harvest time is a time to be thankful for the things we have, as well as Ben from the Wimbledon Guild who was grateful for the school’s kind donations.
